Sheila LeBlanc-Joyce
Labour of Light: Accessible Artworks that are inspirational and soul nourishing.
Sheila LeBlanc-Joyce lives in Clare, Nova Scotia with her husband and their four year old daughter. A little cabin beside a brook with a marsh and river in the back yard, Sheila's home is cozy and inspiring.
This home based business realizes a long held dream. Working from home allows her to create her art, raise her daughter and care for her family - with the sound of the bubbling brook in the background. Cathou Larocque
Cathou Larocque is co-proprietor with husband Rocky of Silvery Moon Alpacas Farm, which is located in Tremont, nested in beautiful Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. In 2001 after retiring from a career in the military our little farm came to life. We brought home three Alpacas to join a horse, a few chickens and rabbits already here. The following year Rocky retired from the Regular Force and joined the Reserve, giving him more free time to work on the farm. Today we have a total of six lovely alpacas grazing on the farm. Once a year we shear our animals and then Cathou starts the process of the fibre. Sometimes it is spun on a walking wheel or even a drop spindle. But most of the time it is handspun on a spinning wheel. We sell the handspun yarns, some felt, knitted/crochet items and woven items. Contact: http://www.silverymoonalpacasfarm.com

Jennifer Christopherson: Creative Wanderings
Started in 2004, Creative Wanderings is the unofficial third daughter of Jennifer. Dismayed by the lack of natural body products locally produced, she began to research and formulate her own soaps, body butters and lip balms, among other things. She also began apprenticing with a senior soapmaker, learning the little used "cold process" method for her soaps, which are renowned for their abilities to cleanse without drying.
Jennifer prides herself on providing the most natural products she can, with scents that delight, relax and sustain. Soap has become her passion, and her pride.
To learn more, please visit Jennifer at www.creativewanderings.ca or follow her on Twitter @elorajade and on Facebook.
